Theresa Leinaala McEnroe, 60, of Evans, Colorado, was surrounded by family when she passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025, in Greeley, Colorado. She was born on November 15, 1964, in Honolulu, Hawaii to Carlton & Pauline (Kanoa) Gomes. On October 8, 2015, in Greeley, Theresa married the true love of her life, John McEnroe.

Theresa was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose generous spirit and loving heart left a lasting impact on everyone she met. She was known for her selflessness-always thinking of others before herself-and her willingness to lend a helping hand, no matter the need.

A true lover of family, Theresa found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren, sharing stories, laughter, and countless home-cooked meals made with love. Her passion for cooking brought people together, and her kitchen was often filled with warmth, delicious aromas, and cherished memories.

Theresa loved dolphins, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, and rarely missed an episode of The Young and the Restless. Reality TV was another of her guilty pleasures, offering moments of relaxation and entertainment.

Her caring nature and loyalty to those she loved will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, compassion, and togetherness will live on through her family and friends.

Theresa is survived by her loving husband, John McEnroe; daughters, Jonnalynn McEnroe Gomes, Jaysha (Omar) McEnroe, and Jasmine McEnroe ; grandchildren, Jocelyne, Josiah, and Alana; siblings, Berna, and William (Sandra) Gomes; aunt, Rose 'Pua' (Jerry) Danielson; and a large loving extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Vanessa and Kehau Gomes.

A Celebration of Life will be held in 2026, in Hawaii.

Condolences may be sent to the family at www.LighthouseFamilyLFM.com.
