Theresa Ann McKelroy was born on September 29, 1969, in Houston, Texas, to the late Vestal Prentice Tullos and Shirley Ann (Alexander) Davis. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family after a sudden illness, on November 11, 2025, in The Woodlands, Texas, at the age of fifty-six years.
Theresa was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished sister, and adoring "Gma." She was a woman whose heart overflowed with kindness and creativity. She loved crafting and could often be found quilting, sewing, or tending to her garden, where her green thumb produced beautiful blooms that reflected her gentle spirit. More than anything, she loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren, who were truly the light of her life. Her laughter and love made every gathering brighter, and her presence brought warmth to all who knew her.
Theresa was raised in the Baptist faith and was a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star #1139, where she shared her compassion and faith with others in service and fellowship.
She is preceded in death by her father, Vestal Prentice Tullos; her mother, Shirley Ann Davis; her beloved grandson, Barrett Vestal Sokolowski; and her sister-in-law, Delia Tullos.
Those left to treasure her memory include her devoted husband of thirty-eight years, Micheal McKelroy of Livingston, Texas; her children: daughter, Amber McKelroy Sokolowski and husband, Stefan of Livingston, Texas; son, Stephen McKelroy and fiancé, Dan Theman of Livingston, Texas; and daughter, Victoria McKelroy of Livingston, Texas. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Ember Krezxavier and Savanna Bowers; her brothers, Prentice Tullos and wife, Bonnie; John Tullos; Jason Tullos and wife, Shelley; and Del Tullos; her sister, Celesta Wyke and husband, Lorin; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Groveton Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM until service time. Interment will follow in Johnson-Tullos Cemetery in Apple Springs, Texas.
Pallbearers: Stefan Sokolowski, John Tullos, Prentice Tullos, Jason Tullos, Del Tullos, and Bradley Tullos
