Theresa C. Orban, a cherished member of our community, passed away gently on January 4, 2026, at Turning Brook AFC in Alpena, Michigan. Born on April 2, 1932, in Alpena, she was the beloved daughter of the late Anthony and Genevieve (Smolinski) Losinski. She lived a life filled with love, dedication, and fond memories that those who knew her will always treasure.

Theresa's professional journey spanned an impressive 37 years as a Telephone Operator for GTE, where she was known for her warm demeanor and professionalism. A graduate of St. Anne High School, her education laid the foundation for a life devoted to family and faith.

On August 1, 1953, Theresa married her soulmate, Melvin Orban, at St. Mary Catholic Church, officiated by Fr. Clarence Smolinski. Their love story was a beautiful testament to affection and companionship, lasting nearly 50 years until Melvin's passing in 2002. She often spoke of him with a sparkle in her eye, her love for him never fading in the years since he departed.

Beyond her career, Theresa found joy in the simpler pleasures of life. She was an avid card player and a devoted fan of the Detroit Tigers, proudly supporting her team through every season. Her adventurous spirit shone bright during her younger years as she traveled to many places, including a memorable trip to Poland that brought her great joy.

A deeply devout Catholic, Theresa was an active participant in her church community. She dedicated herself to numerous church activities and was a longstanding member of the Rosary Society, where she sought to bring comfort and connection to others through her faith.

Theresa is survived by her loving siblings, Ronald (Barb) Losinski and Larry (Pat) Losinski, along with many cherished nieces and nephews who carry forward the legacy of her kindness and care. She leaves behind a rich tapestry of relationships woven with the threads of love and support that she so generously offered.

She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin and her siblings, Dorothy Romanik, Alvin Losinski, Carl Losinski, and Barbara Donajkowski. Those who went before her now have a wonderful companion as she joins them in eternal peace.

Theresa was a kind, caring, and loving wife, sister, and friend—a true embodiment of grace and generosity. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her. As we gather to honor her memory, let us remember the laughter, compassion, and unwavering love she shared throughout her life.

A Celebration of her life will take place at A.E. Ross Funeral Home with visitation on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026 from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with prayer of the rosary starting at 4:00 P.M. and Parish Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Monday at St. Anne Catholic Church of All Saints Parish from 10:00 A.M. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. with Fr. Charles Donajkowski and Fr. Emmanuel Finbarr Concelebrating. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial contribution to Alzheimer's Association or All Saints Catholic School. May her spirit continue to inspire and warm our hearts.
