Theresa Ann DeRockbraine was born on June 12,1934 in Bullhead, SD to Thomas and Josephine (Hawk) DeRockbraine. She was raised and educated in the Bullhead area. On April 27, 1957 she married Melvin Shoots The Enemy in McIntosh, SD. They lived in Gary, Indiana, Denver, Colorado and also Bismarck to seek work and schooling opportunities. She graduated in 1974 with a certificate in Culinary Arts. Theresa was an accomplished cook and star quilt maker.
Theresa is survived by her children; Linda Lawrence, Aaron Shoots The Enemy and Margaret Shoots The Enemy of Ft. Yates, Anna Shoots The Enemy of McIntosh, SD and Martha Shoots The Enemy of Cannonball, ND, She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. Theresa is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters; Marie, Dorothy, Margaret, Bertha and Matilda, grandchildren; William and Roxanna and 4 great-grandchildren.
