Theresa Gail Wright was born September 28, 1958 in Dumas, Arkansas to the late D.E. "Junior" Douthit and Netta Bingham Douthit and she passed away unexpectedly on March 4, 2026 at her home in Mer Rouge, Louisiana. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by a daughter, Jamie Leann Venable and two infant sons.

Theresa was a retired store manager for Fred's Department Stores. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother devoted to her family. She held a special place in her heart for her grandsons and nieces and nephews. She was loved.

Mrs. Wright is survived by her husband of 45 years, Steven Wright; her son, Jonathan Wright and wife, Mandy; a very special and loved niece, Amy McCarver; and four grandsons, Lane Wright, Nathan Wright, Luke Wright, and Kaden Wright. She is also survived by a sister, Gloria Lick and husband, Bruce; brother, Gary Douthit; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.

Memorial services celebrating Ms. Theresa's life will be 5:00 PM Monday, March 9, 2026 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop with Gene Maxwell and Don Bendily officiating.
