Thomas Mullins Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cox Funeral Homes - Bastrop Chapel on Feb. 15, 2026.
THOMAS MACK "MAX" MULLINS

COX FUNERAL HOME

BASTROP, LOUISIANA

Mr. Thomas Mack Mullins was born in Richland Parish, Louisiana on November 11, 1931 to the late Sam Jones Mullins and Katie Flynn Mullins. He passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, Louisiana. Along with his parents Mr. Mullins is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Lois Martin Mullins; a son, Larry Mullins; grandson, Chad Mullins; sister, Dorothy Mullins Pope; and three brothers, Jack Dempsey Mullins, Gene Tunney Mullins, and Bobby Gene Mullins.

"Max" as he was known to family, friends, and co-workers, was a veteran of the United States Army and served his country during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Mullins was a retired supervisor with International Paper Company and known for his loyalty and respect from his fellow co-workers. "Max" enjoyed being in the outdoors. He enjoyed camping and was an avid fisherman. Any opportunity to go fishing and cast a line, was time well-spent in his opinion. Mr. Mullins was secure in his faith, loved by his family, and held in high esteem by those fortunate to know him.

He is survived by his son Randy Mullins and his wife, Betsy; two granddaughters, Madison Mullins and Mackenzie Mullins; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop followed by graveside funeral services at 3:00 PM at the Memorial Park Cemetery, Bastrop, Louisiana with Bro. Jerry Stuckey officiating.

Honored to serve as Mr. Mullins pallbearers are Wayne Cook, Bruce Cook, John Harper, Johnny Fitch, Robert Carter, and Mike Hinton.
