Sister Therese Noel de Notre Dame (Constance Mary Goecke) entered into eternal life on September 18, 2025, at the age of 86. She was born March 11, 1939 in Baltimore, MD to the late Joseph Goecke and Anna Adams Goecke. Sr. Therese Noel entered the Little Sisters of the Poor and professed her religious vows on December 10, 1959. For over 60 years she served the elderly poor in homes throughout the United States as a Dietary Manager and Hospitality in direct care of the Resident. She was instrumental in the formation of the Association Jeanne Jugan in Newark DE. She has been in the Newark Home since 2010.
She is survived by her sister, Sr. Joanne Goecke, D.C., her two brothers Kenneth Goecke and Joseph Timothy Goecke as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Services will be at the Little Sisters of the Poor, 185 Salem Church Rd, Newark, DE 19713

A visitation will be held Tuesday September 23, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. which will include 4:30 p.m. Rosary followed by Evening Prayer.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, September 24, 2025, 11:00 a.m.

Burial will be held at Cathedral Cemetery on Thursday, September 25, 2025. Departure for the cemetery from the Little Sisters Home will be at 9 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 185 Salem Church Road, Newark, DE 19713.
