Therese A. Lamoureux

PAWTUCKET - Therese A. (Bouffard) Lamoureux, 92, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility, Elmira, NY on Friday April 29, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Normand A. Lamoureux. Born in Pawtucket, she was the youngest of ten children of Odias and Mariana Bouffard.

Therese lived most of her life in her beloved hometown of Pawtucket and was a 1948 graduate of the former Pawtucket East High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Episcopal Diocese of Rhode Island for twenty-five years. Therese was a devout communicant of St. Cecilia's Church, Pawtucket, for over sixty-five years. Her final seven years were spent in Elmira, New York, where she resided with her son and daughter-in-law. Therese enjoyed being surrounded by her large family of siblings, in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Therese is survived by her beloved son and daughter-in-law, David and Joanne Lamoureux of Elmira, NY; her grandchildren, Michael and JoEllen Lamoureux and their daughter, Autumn of Westwood, MA, Jeffrey Lamoureux and Angela Kim of Brooklyn, NY, Katherine and Ali Lamoureux of Revere, MA, and many nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving sibling of the late, Alvina Laliberte, Rose E. Houde, Mabel J. Dubuc, Margaret Forestiere, Rosanna, Alphonse, Achille, Leo and William Bouffard.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, May 20th at 10 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Cecilia Church, 755 Central Ave., Pawtucket. Interment with her late husband will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Those wishing to honor Therese may do so with a donation to Alzheimer's Association or the ASPCA.
