Gerard Lessard Obituary
WOONSOCKET - Gerard A. Lessard 70, of Dean St. passed away on March 18, 2026. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Ernest and Pauline (Delisle) Lessard. Gerry was a computer programmer for TJX for several years. Gerry was a former member and past treasurer and secretary of the Woonsocket Jaycees. He was a volunteer usher at the Stadium Theater for many years. He was also a mentor for the Woonsocket School system for many years. Gerry was also known by many as The Cookie Man Gerry would bake and sell cookies at different charity events and donate all the proceeds to the organization, mostly Camp Ker-Anna and Slater Park Carousel.
He is survived by his siblings, Maurice, Pauline, Annette, and Ernest Lessard, all of Woonsocket, and Normand Lessard of IN.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph's Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Please visit
