New Iberia – Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Pellerin Funeral Home, for Therese Segura, 63, who passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025.
Entombment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery.
Rev. Matthew Higginbotham will officiate.
Visitation will be Tuesday, from 11:30 am until 2:00 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home.
Therese was born on April 15, 1962, in Ireland, and was a long-time resident of New Iberia. A graduate of Mount Carmel Academy and the University of Louisiana Lafayette, she was a partner in the St. Agnes Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, in Breaux Bridge. Therese served two terms on the New Iberia City Council. She enjoyed all sports, especially tennis, volleyball, and basketball. Therese will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her parents, Perry and Emma Davant Segura, Sr. of New Iberia; brothers, Perry “Tootie” Segura, Jr. of New Iberia, Chris Segura of Baton Rouge, and David Segura of New Iberia; sister, Colleen Segura Sims (Jerry) of Franklin, North Carolina; nieces and nephews, Perry Segura, III of New Iberia, Laurie Segura Hebert (Michael) of Baton Rouge, Charles Austin Segura of New Iberia, Caroline Segura Gravois (Brenden) of New Iberia, Barrett Menard (Tiffany) of Perkston, Mississippi, Emily Bratton of Dillsboro, North Carolina, and Daniel Menard (Mallory) of Oxford, Mississippi; great nieces and nephews, Barrett Menard, II, Patrick Menard, Adalee Bratton, Rory Lynn Bratton, and one due in January.
Therese was preceded in death by a her grandparents, Charles and Pauline Doerle Davant and Paul and Levie Segura; niece, Paris Segura, and a sister-in-law, Patricia Segura.
The family would like to give special thanks to her caregiver, Colette Renard Voorhies, for her care and compassion.
