Visitation will be at Pellerin Funeral Home on Saturday from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.
Trisha Lynn Pelous was born in Loreauville, Louisiana on November 12, 1968, to Robert and Linda Camille Pelous, and was a loving mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and friend. Trisha dedicated herself to Lowe’s in New Iberia for many years, where she was known for her devotion and strong work ethic.
To her family, Trisha was a source of strength, love, and protection. Even in the final chapter of her life, she continued to care for those around her, especially her children. She faced her journey with remarkable courage and a beautiful outlook on life, never showing fear and always reminding those she loved to keep faith. One of her final sentiments reflected her enduring spirit and humor, telling her daughter that she was “just jealous she got to meet Jesus first.”
Trisha was deeply loved by her family and will be missed more than words can express. Her love, faith, and the memories she created with those closest to her will remain forever in their hearts.
In addition to her parents, Trisha is survived by her daughter, Heather Turner and husband Robert; and her son, Skyylar Pelous and wife Dana. Trisha was a proud and loving grandmother to Aaliyah, Landon, Tanner, Addyson, Parker, Greyson, Peyton, Paytn, and Savannah, who brought immense joy to her life. Trisha is also survived by her siblings, Tammie Landry and husband Vin, Lories Pelous, Mark Pelous and wife Dawn; Kelsey Pelous and wife Michelle; and extended family who loved her dearly. Trisha found great comfort and happiness with her beloved dogs, Reggie and Loka, who she loved very much.
Trisha was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Charles Pelous Jr.; paternal grandparents, Arthur “Togan” and Irene “Tneg” Pelous; and maternal grandparents, Walter and Ameline Johnson Camille.
“We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.” — 2 Corinthians 5:8
