Thomas J. Abdoo, age 81, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026. Tom was born November 28, 1944 to Joseph Abdoo and Marie {Jesser} Abdoo. He graduated from Archbishop Hoban High School - Class of 1962. Shortly after graduating he joined the Army Reserves, married and started a family. Tom had a long and rewarding career working with various automotive repair and tire shops that culminated as a manager with Feeney McIntyre Tire Company where he enjoyed discussing world views with customers and co-workers alike.
Tom was an avid Cleveland (Indians) Guardians fan and rarely missed a game. If he could have been anything, he would have been a professional baseball player. His favorite pastimes were raising animals as a hobby farmer, fishing with friends and family, and volunteering as a set designer and prop manager at Weathervane Playhouse in Akron, OH. He relished the time that he got to spend with his grandchildren at museums, arcades, bowling alleys or sitting down for a meal. We will miss his perspectives on life and his desire for all of us to live with love and joy.
Tom is survived by his children Joe (Barb) Abdoo and Mike (Jennifer) Abdoo; grandchildren, TC Liming, Kyrsten (Blake) Daniels, Elisabeth Abdoo, Johnny Abdoo, Nathan Abdoo and Natalie Abdoo; and long-time companion Jill Clark. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Marie Abdoo, his sister Mary Jo {Abdoo} Hromco, and his loving daughter Lisa {Abdoo} Liming.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM on Friday, February 6 at Our Lady of the Cedars Maronite Church, 507 S Cleveland Massillon Road, Fairlawn, OH 44333 with visitation from 10AM to 11AM. Inurnment will follow the service at Holy Cross Cemetery, where Tom where will be laid to rest.
