Thomas Amey Obituary
He is proceeded in death by his brothers, William Amey Jr., Theodore Amey, Willie B Amey and James Amey; sisters Lizzie Pullins and Margie Atkinson; grandson, Donte Long; two great granddaughters, Takaylee Hill and Brayleigh Cook.
Thomas was united in holy matrimony to his high school sweetheart Julia (Arnold) Amey and to this union 3 boys were born Victor, Ricky and Ron Rico Amey.
At an early age Thomas joined Rocky Mount Bethel Baptist Church and later in life joined the Sword of The Lord Church,IUT'L, under the leadership of Pastor Randy D. Hall. He was a dedicated photographer and videographer and well known for his charisma, wisdom and his unwavering love for his family.
Thomas loved music he played Jew Harp Harmonica and a Guitar to entertain family and friends.
Thomas was survived by his wife Julia Amey; children: Victor (Trina) Amey of Fayetteville, GA, Ricky (Maaza) Amey of Newnan, GA, Rico (Cristy) Amey of Newnan, GA, Sharon (Stacy) Jones of Carrollton, GA, Clenda (Kenneth) Scales of Castle Rock, CO, Shaneka (Gary) Shepherd of Lagrange, GA; one very special grandson that he raised as his own Carlos Amey; Dallas, TX; 25, grandchildren and a host of greatgrandchildren; two sisters: Leona Amey and Louise Boyd; two sisters-in-law: Francis Amey and Raycine Amey and a host of nieces and nephews.
