THOMAS "TOM" BACHE

1932 - 2025

BACHE, Thomas "Tom" Age 93, of Yarmouth Port, passed away peacefully on July 10, following a brief illness. Born in Boston and raised in South Natick by his beloved grandmother, the late Minnie Lane Bache; Tom was predeceased by his brother, James Bache; and his sister, Sally Fannon. A graduate of Natick High School, Tom joined the Local 17 Sheet Metal Workers Union in Boston and worked as a foreman for 40 years. After retiring, he continued working for two more decades at Nauset Lantern in Orleans. Tom proudly served his country as a U.S. Army Corporal during the Korean War. In recognition of his service and local legacy, he was recently honored at the dedication of Bache Family Square in South Natick. In 1956, Tom married the love of his life, Joan. Together, they raised their family in Ashland before moving to Yarmouth Port in 1985. In addition to Joan, Tom is survived by his children: Tommy Bache and his wife, Patrice of Northborough, Rich Bache and his wife, Tricia of Sandwich, Lynda and her husband, Ed of Sterling and Karen and her husband, Ken of Worcester. He also leaves behind six cherished grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and his brother, Daniel Bache and his wife, Joanne of Wayland. Tom was an avid Boston sports fan, a passionate golfer, and a devoted reader. He loved gardening and, above all, spending time with his family. Known for his warm smile, quick wit, and great sense of humor, Tom never missed an opportunity to share a good joke. The Bache family will hold Services privately.
