Thomas George Bannon Jr., 71, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025, in Arlington, Texas. Born on March 18, 1954, in Jackson Heights, New York, Tom lived a life defined by family, dedication, and a deep love of sports.

Tom was the son of Thomas Bannon Sr. and Rose Bannon, both of whom preceded him in death. His beloved sister, Marilynn Bauer, passed away shortly after him on December 5, 2025. Marilynn’s husband, Chuck Bauer, survives her, and Tom remained close with him throughout the years. Tom’s family was the center of his world. He leaves behind his daughter, Danielle Simpson, and her fiancé, Rafiq Hirji. Tom also lovingly embraced Rafiq’s children, Noah and Ayelen, as part of his family. He is survived by his cherished grandchildren Grant W. Simpson IV, Cole Simpson, and Reese Simpson. Tom is also survived by his son, Michael Bannon, and Michael’s wife, Brittney, along with their children, Brittain Rose and Michael Jr., who brought immense joy and pride to their PeePaw.

Sports were woven into the fabric of Tom’s life from the beginning. He spent his childhood on baseball fields and continued his athletic journey at Niagara University, where he played both baseball and basketball. His passion and talent carried him into semi-professional baseball through the Stan Musial League—an experience he spoke of often and fondly.

Tom was also the heart of every room he entered. A lifelong class clown, he loved being at the center of laughter, mischief, and friendly pranks. His quick wit, playful spirit, and ability to bring people together made him unforgettable to all who knew him.

Professionally, Tom was a gifted and celebrated salesman. He devoted his career to selling new homes, earning numerous accolades for his exceptional work, including the distinguished McSAM Award for Best Salesman of the Year. His success was rooted not just in skill, but in his warmth, humor, and genuine care for the people he served.

Tom will be remembered for his generosity, his easy charm, his boundless enthusiasm for the games he loved, and the love for this family. His legacy lives on in the stories he shared, the laughter he sparked, the lessons he passed down, and the love he gave freely.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
