Sending my deepest sympathies to the Beatrice family. Tommy was a true hometown hero on the field and the Beatrice family was always a welcome house to so many of us growing up in Swampscott.

I met Beattie our freshman year at Harvard and we were football teammates. We were in Kirkland House together and had lots of fun. He was a good athlete and a fun guy to be around. We went to his house in Swampscott once and watched home made films of Tom and his date going to the prom in a huge convertible, and Tom had a baby blue tux on. We went on a road trip to Dartmouth one weekend and slept on the floor of a frat. many years later he and I worked on a case in NH together in the US Bankruptcy Court. He pulled up in a giant Humvee. I offer my condolences to his family. I will miss him.

God bless you Tom - I remember meeting you on the football field my sophomore year and being impressed by your energy and commitment to the sport - and your cultural idioms. This guy from the Pacific Northwest was always interested in hearing your take - in your distinctive Boston accent no less - on people and events from your past and on campus . Years later I recall your kindness when we reconnected at a Havard / Yale Game. Much love my friend !

My deepest condolences to the entire Beatrice family. Tom was a great guy! I remember all of the Beatrice's growing up, we were neighbors on Salem Street in Swampscott when my family moved from East Boston in 1973. May he rest in peace.

"Beatty" to all who held him dear.
Roommate of mine for a short stint;
Had a HUGE heart; Serious footballer and celebrated party host;
He will be missed, and he will be certainly remembered.
