Thomas Clayton Beecher, 96, of Viera, Florida passed away on September 18, 2025.

Thomas was born in Poughkeepsie, New York son of Clayton Oliver and Catherine Agnes Lawler.

He attended High School in Millbrook, New York where he met his sweetheart, Charlotte Virginia Covey. Tom and Charlotte shared 59 years of marriage beginning on November 26, 1950. They were married at Saint Joseph's Church; Millbrook, New York. Tom was a veteran of the Korean war and served in the Army. After being shot in the shoulder, Tom was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries received. Upon returning from Korea, Tom began working at The Glen Mills Schools until retiring as the Group Living Director in 1992. In 1993, Tom and Charlotte moved to Titusville, FL where they joined La Cita Country Club. They shared a love for golf and enjoyed their retirement meeting new friends and socializing. At 96, Tom continued to play up until the week of his passing. Tom had a passion for learning. He loved to read. In his later years he wrote poetry and learned to play the piano. Tom was a Roman Catholic and a member of The Knights of Columbus. Tom is preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte and his sister, Mary Ann DeWitt. Tom is survived by 4 Children, Thomas Clayton Beecher Jr. of San Diego, CA, Cheryl Ann Maropis of Exton, PA, Catherine Beecher Koontz of Titusville, FL and Patricia Diane Caggiano (Frank) of Viera, FL., 10 Grandchildren, William (Pravda), Erin (William), Nicholas, Brent (Whitney), Jenna, Ryan (Stephani), Austin, Mary Katherine, (Jeremy), Jennifer and Benjamin along with 7 Great-Grandchildren, Ajani, Presley, Kolson, Hannah, Bryn, Cruz and Ava. Tom will be deeply missed by all.

Celebration of Life will be held privately at a later date.
