Thomas “Tommy” Clayton Boaz, 65, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 26, 2024.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, August 30, 2024, at Mount Carmel Global Methodist Church with Rev. Timothy James, Pastor Eric Lineberry, and Rev. Kenneth Boaz officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday at the church from 6-8 PM.

Tommy was born in Rockingham County to the late William Dewey Boaz and Dorothy Southard Boaz. He graduated from Ruffin High School with the class of 1977. He was a long-time member of Mount Carmel Global Methodist Church. He grew up farming and continued on, even after he took a job as a transport Driver for Rentz Eden Oil Company/ Hutchens. Tommy retired after many years of service in December of 2023. He was very close to his work family and was beloved by all. He enjoyed golfing, playing softball, and watching the Carolina Tar Heels and the New York Yankees. Tommy took two weeks off every year to deer hunt, and loved the outdoors and fishing. Most of all he loved being with his family. He was faithful to his wife, children, and church. He was a faithful man of God.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Dewey Boaz.

Tommy is survived by his wife of 22 years, Ann Boaz; children, Taelor Stone (Ryan), Matt Boaz (Bryanna), Ramsey Morales (Rico), Nicole Boaz; Thomas Reynolds (Karen); grandchildren, Susie, Cynthia, Mason, Clayton, Hayley, Nathan, Addisyn, Elizabeth, Weston, Kaitlyn, and Avery; previous wife and mother of Matt and Nicole, Margaret Boaz; siblings, Sheila Tilley (Joe), Larry Boaz (Lou Ann), Ken Boaz (Amy), Loraine Pruitt; brother-in-law, Will Martin (Donna) as well as a large and loving group of extended family and friends.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mount Carmel Global Methodist Church at 361 Mount Carmel Church Road, Reidsville, NC 27320.
