Thomas Bouch Obituary

Published by Daily Progress from Oct. 23 to Oct. 24, 2009.

Thomas Mark Bouch

Thomas Mark Bouch was introduced to his new home by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at the age of 65.

Born September 22, 1944, to the Reverend and Mrs. Thomas Bouch in Blandburg, Pennsylvania, he is survived by Darlene, his devoted wife of 44 years; his father, three sisters, four children and their spouses, 15 grandchildren, and a multitude of extended family and friends.

While Tom spent his working years identified as a mechanic, salesman, business-owner, manager and designer, he found much more fulfillment in his role as "servant" to his God, "sweetheart" to his wife, "dad" to his children and their spouses, and "pawpaw" or "poppy" to his grandchildren. His most precious accomplishment is a family wholly committed to serving their Lord and at peace with each other.

A memorial will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2009, at Covenant Church in Charlottesville. The family will receive family and friends from 3 until 4 p.m. prior to the service.

A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, October 26, 2009, at Holly Memorial Gardens, 3251 Seminole Trail, Charlottesville.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions are made to "world missions" through Covenant Church, 1025 E Rio Road, Charlottesville, VA 22901.

Darlene,
Our heart breaks for you and your family, but you especially because we know just how much you and Tom loved each other. It was so evident in the way you looked at one another, spoke to one another and supported one another. What a wonderful example to your children, grandchildren, and all those around you. And that love undoubtedly blossomed as a result of your deep devotion to our Lord. It was a pleasure getting to know both of you during our 11 years at Covenant. I have no doubt that you're hurting but also rejoicing because Tom is now experiencing the very best God has to offer us....Eternity with our Savior! Keeping you in our Prayers...Bill and Charlotte Kyler

Dearest Darlene:
Tom was a gracious presence in our lives and I know Jon and he shared many happy, frustrating and hilarious memories as long time co-workers.
You could always count on Tom for a smile and laugh in his voice. We will miss that voice and hope it will rise again in the presence of the Lord. Peace be with you and your entire family.
Love, Jon, Patti and Jahna
