She was born on September 15, 1952 in Troy, PA the daughter of late Bruce (d. December 14, 1982) and Barbara Green Vargson (d. March 19, 1991). She was a graduate of Troy High School with class of 1970.
Shelia was employed with Paper Magic in Troy for many years. She then moved to the Laceyville area and she began working for Cargill in the packaging area. She retired in 2014.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Troy American Legion Post #49. She enjoyed being outdoors, going on walks and spending time in her garden. She was heavily involved with her family and loved to attend her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's events.
Shelia is survived by her husband, whom she married on April 23, 1988, Darl W. Bouch; her children, Debra Dexter of Laceyville, PA, Diane Dexter (Jim Leighton) of Wysox, PA, Andrew Dexter (Shelly) of Meshoppen, PA, and Renee Bouch of Laceyville, PA; her grandchildren, Keirsty Holland (Billy) of Towanda, PA, Brianna Lane of Towanda, PA, Trace Lane (Jenice Taluba) of Laceyville, PA, and Garrett Dexter of Meshoppen, PA; her great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Jonica, Greyson, Jyn, and Madelyn; her siblings, Trudy Rice, Roy Vargson (Luann), Rod Vargson, Bruce Vargson (Sherry); her sisters-in-law, Cheryl Bouch and Karen Gilhousen; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Daniel "Boomer" Lane (d. January 18, 2025) and her brothers-in-law, Butch Rice and Chris Gilhousen.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Shelia's name to the Crush Cancer 5K, c/o, Emily Hoffman, 2202 Underhill Rd., Laceyville, PA 18623.
