Thomas Bridwell Obituary

A native of Travelers Rest, South Carolina, son of the late Fred Calvin and Winifred Parker Bridwell, he was a United States Army Veteran, where he served as military police in Vietnam and a member of First Baptist Church Gowensville. Mr. Bridwell enjoyed golfing and fishing.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Pittman Bridwell of the home; two daughters, Jennifer Bridwell of the home and Michelle Mathis of Bluffton, South Carolina; one brother, Larry Bridwell (Sandra) of Pelham, South Carolina; two sisters, Sandy Kemp and Diane Heath both of Taylors, South Carolina; three grandchildren, Hannah Mathis, Hayden Mathis, and Haley Mathis; five honorary grandchildren, Amber Deese, Adam Parr, Austin Parr, Andrew Judkins, and Payton Judkins; and two honorary great-grandchildren, Camden Deese and Emmy Deese.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2024, at The Wood Mortuary Chapel conducted by Pastor Josh Phillips. Burial will follow in First Baptist Church Gowensville Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2024, at The Wood Mortuary.
The family will be at the home.
