A native of Greer, the son of the late U.M. Greene, Jr. and Barbara Powell Greene, he was a self-employed Real Estate Appraiser and was of the Christian faith.
Joel is survived by a daughter and a son-in-law, Nicole and Chris Harris of Greer; a sister, Julie Tucker of Greer; a grandson, Connor Harris; and a special friend, Michael Kahn of Las Vegas, Nevada.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
The family is at their respective homes.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gibbs Cancer Center, 380 Serpentine Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303
