Thomas LaVurn Brooks, 54, of Greenville, husband of Tonia Bane Brooks, died June 11, 2009. Born in Greenville, he was a son of Marthrene Nash Brooks and the late Charles Brooks. He had worked for Harodite Industries and was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church. Thomas was a loving husband, gifted musician, faithful church member, and loving son and son-in-law. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his brother, Jesse Aaron Brooks. A Memorial Service will be Monday, June 15, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Visitation will be prior to the service from 5:00 – 5:45 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Vista Care Hospice, 15 Brendan Way, Suite 100, Greenville, SC, 29615.
