Thomas "Buford" Stitt, born on December 1, 1955, in Dickson, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on September 3 2024. Buford lived a fulfilling life marked by dedication to his craft as a boat builder, a profession he passionately pursued for many years. His commitment to his work was only rivaled by his love for life itself, embracing each day with vigor and joy.
Buford had a wide array of interests that brought him happiness and connection with others. A fixture at the senior citizens center, he derived immense pleasure from playing pool, often sharing laughter with friends. His passion for the outdoors was evident in his love for fishing, where he found solace and relaxation. Additionally, Buford cherished the thrill of burning up the roads on his motorcycle, relishing every opportunity for adventure and exploration.
One of Buford's greatest treasures was the time spent with family. He relished family get-togethers, where stories were shared, and bonds were strengthened. His warmth and zest for life left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Thomas "Buford" Stitt will be remembered fondly by those fortunate enough to have shared in his journey. His spirit, love for adventure, and unyielding enthusiasm for life will continue to inspire all who were touched by his presence.
Visitation: will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until service time at Spann Funeral Home.
