Thomas Burtoft Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by J.C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel - Bowling Green on Mar. 6, 2022.
Thomas M. Burtoft, 67, passed away Friday, March 4, 2022 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born to the late Thomas Milton Burtoft, Sr. and Mary Glunt Burtoft on April 3, 1954 in Turtle Creek, PA. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister Melinda Hess and three brothers Jack, Howard, and Robert Burtoft.
Tom was a member of OneSong Church and a devout follower of Christ. Tom enjoyed hunting and took many excursions all over the world. Tom made sure to pass his love of the outdoors to many young men throughout the community by including them in his hunting adventures. He began his career as a jounreyman painter in Pennsylvania. Tom took his skills and knowledge and turned them into a successful business for over 40 years. Tom was the owner and operator of Straight Line Painting and always prided himself in completing a job with only the highest level of work. Tom's heart was overflowing with the will to give. Tom could always be found cooking a bowl of soup for anyone who was sick. Tom never wanted anyone to go without and was always willing to give the shirt off his back to help someone.
Tom fulfilled his goals in life. He deeply loved his wife of 30 years, Susan, and treasured his daughter, Shelby. He always had something to do, whether it was being an avid outdoorsman hunting or fishing, or as a painter and successful business owner. He fulfilled his dream of building a home filled with love and respect, and bursting with a sense of humor.
Thomas is survived by his wife Susan Loafman Buroft; daughter Shelby Clements (Andy); two sisters Charmain Warble and Valerie Rebel; one brother Donnie Burtoft; two cousins Mary Jane Toward and Ginny Platek; one niece Amy Macurak and two nephews Johnny Burtoft and Timmy Cassidy.
Visitation will be Monday, March 7, 2022 from 3 to 7 pm and Tuesday from 12 (Noon) to 2 pm at J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm March 8 at the funeral home.
