Douglas Burtoft Obituary
He is survived by his beloved wife, Viki, his two daughters, Katie and Allison, and his sister, Donna, who brought him immense joy. Known for his warm smile and generous spirit, Doug was a true friend to many and left an unforgettable mark on all who knew him.
A graduate of Florida State University, Doug loved cheering on the Seminoles Football and Women's Basketball teams. He was passionate about literature, music, learning and sharing knowledge about history and humanities.
His legacy of love, laughter, and integrity will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
A memorial service will be held on November 1, 2024, at 2 PM in the chapel at Abbey Funeral Home, Tallahassee, FL. Family and friends are welcome to join in for a dinner at Salty Dawg following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Stevens Clark Memorial Fund at UF Health, to assist lung transplant patients.
Doug will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.
