Thomas Burton Obituary
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1:00 pm Thursday September 15, 2022, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Greenup, IL. Burial will be in the Toledo Cemetery. The Barkley Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
Thomas was born on September 17, 1943, to Robert and Lorraine (Labo) Burton, in Belvidere, IL. He married Sharon Dunnett on June 10, 1989. Thomas is survived by his wife, stepdaughters Teresa Jaime, and Diane Fritsch; brothers Craig Burton and Jon Burton; sister; Cindy Wicke; 4 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepson James Fritsch, and sister Janice Drum.
Thomas worked as a Plant Manager at Pyroferric in Toledo, IL for 50 plus years. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Greenup, and Knights of Columbus. He served his country in the United States Army.
