Morris Funeral Chapel - SebringDora Ann Sherrick, 88 passed away peacefully Jan. 31, 2026. She was home surrounded by family. Dora was born Jan. 17, 1938 in Charleston, IL to Lula Mae (Butler) and Herman Moore. She was raised by loving family, Nellie and Minar Decker aka Mother and Daddy. She married Daniel Noah Sherrick and gave birth to three daughters, Selena Rene, Renata Ann and Sherrie Dee.
Dora was a member of Spring Lake Presbyterian Church in Sebring, FL. She was very active in her church volunteering for various committees through the years. She loved baking cakes and goodies for the church weekly. She was always feeding friends and family. She was active in PEO and loved her PEO sisters.
Dora was a loving and devoted stay at home Mom for many years, sewing beautiful clothes for herself and daughters. She also enjoyed entertaining family and friends. After becoming an empty nester, she worked hard to get her real estate license. She retired in her 80's from Coldwell Banker in Sebring where she and Dan worked together.
She is survived by daughters Renata (Gary) McBride, Sherrie (Paul Whitehead) Sierra, Dan Ragone (the son she never had), grandchildren Deborah (Jeff Mickle) Ross, Conrad (Leah) Sierra and Taylor Sierra, great grandchildren Gavin Ross, Grant and Clara Sierra and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by husband Daniel and daughter Selena Sherrick, both sets of parents, Lula Mae and Herman Moore and Nellie and Minar Decker, sister Hallie aka Pat (Coy) Stout, brother Paul (Mossie) Decker and in-laws Conrad and Lorene Sherrick, Dorothy (George) Reisner, Clara Jo (Charles) Clark.
A memorial service will be held at Spring Lake Presbyterian Church in Sebring, Feb 17th at 2:00pm. A visitation will be held at Barkley Funeral Home in Greenup, IL on March 2nd from 10:00-11:00am with service following at 11:00am. She will be interred in Greenup Cemetery.
