Mr. Samuel Franklin Sherrick, Jr., age 88, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025, at his home surrounded by his son, Jeremy, daughter-in-law, Christy, and grandson, Nate. Born on April 3, 1937, in Youngstown, OH, he was the son of the late Samuel Franklin Sherrick, Sr., and the late Veronica Flowers Sherrick. Mr. Sherrick worked as an electrical engineer for the Associated Press until his retirement. He had a deep love for animals and spending his days watching NASCAR and football.
Survivors include his loving son, Jeremy Sherrick (Christy), and many loving grandchildren and extended family.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Sherrick was predeceased by his wife, Linda Baker Sherrick, and sister, Barbara Johnson.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. The family requests that memorials be made to The North Myrtle Beach Humane Society, P.O. Box 3369, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582.
