Thomas Byrne Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 28, 2025.
Thomas Michael Byrne 33 left this world to soon on 9/21/25 after a tragic automobile accident.

From the moment he arrived Thomas lit up the world with the most beautiful blue eyes you ever did see. My blue eyes baby boy.

Those eyes reflected his sharp wit, his boundless curiosity, and his love of life.

He was brilliant so so so so so smart.

And poured his mind and big beautiful grinchy heart into everything he did.

Thomas grew up on the Northwest side of Chicago where he attended St Tarcissus grammar school aka raider nation.

Then the International Baccalaureate program at wildwood. He later graduated from Northside College Prep a place that perfectly matched his academic drive. His passion for science led him to Rollins College in winter park Florida ,where he earned a degree in chemistry and biology.

Thomas was the ultimate nerd, and he wore that badge with pride as did I as his mother.

He loved concerts singing at the top of his lungs and diving into books or conversations that stretched the imagination and often broke the sound barriers. He was an athlete at heart a swimmer a water polo captain and a brief but enthusiastic member of crew at Rollins . He was passionate about lifting .

At Rollins he was a member of the X Club Fraternity where he made friendships that will last forever. Thomas loved his family fiercely. He shared a lifelong bond with his brother his best friend in this life Myles.

He was a son, nephew, cousin and friend who left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His humor, his intelligence, his quirks and his kind soul will never carried forward in the hearts of those who loved him most.

He leaves behind his parents Tom and Michele his brother Myles and a wide circle of loving family and friends who will never stop missing him.

He is reunited in death with his grandparents Mike Postich and Barbara Grace Pickett. Jack and Ellen Byrne and aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be on Friday, October 3, 2025 from 9-11am with a Mass being celebrating at 11am all at St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Church 6020 W. Ardmore Avenue, Chicago, Illinois.
