Thomas Neville "Tommy" Callahan Sr.

1965 - 2023

Thomas "Tommy" Neville Callahan, Sr., a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a lifelong resident of Algiers and a Graduate of O. Perry Walker High School, born April 25, 1965 entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at the age of 58 years young. He is the son of the late Richard D. Callahan, Sr. and Joyce Buhler Callahan. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Richard D. Callahan Jr., David F. Callahan and twin, Timothy J. Callahan and the mother of his two children, Antoinette McMahon Callahan. Tommy is survived by one brother, Patrick O. Callahan; seven Sisters, Barbara Authement, Joyce Franks, Martha Heirsch (Roger), Rose Smith (Randy), Deborah Simpson, Phyllis Oser (Joey) and Theresa Porsche (Randy) as well as his significant other of 15 years, Page Knapp; his daughter, Krystal Dugas (Neil) and her four children, Ellie, Ethan, Emmie and Vivian; and his son, Thomas Callahan, Jr. and a plethora of nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. We will all miss his smile and laughter. The family would like to extend a sincere appreciation to Tara Uli for her love and care given to Tommy. Family and friends are invited to Celebrate his Life and "Have a Budwieser" on Thursday, November 30, 2023. A Toast around 12:30PM at Callahan's, 2320 Belle Chasse Highway, Gretna, Louisiana. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to help with his final expenses will be accepted and greatly appreciated. A private Graveside Service will be held at a later date.
