Thomas Leo Carhuas, 41, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital in Twin Falls, Idaho.
He was born on August 3, 1983, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Leonidas and Marva Larson Carhuas. Thomas was the middle of three sons. He attended school in Gooding, Idaho for the deaf and blind for many years. He also lived in Arco, Idaho and most recently in Jerome, Idaho with his parents.
Thomas loved people, especially children, and would shake everyone's hand to acknowledge them. He had a deep love for God and would often tell Leonidas that God was his real father. He enjoyed going to church services at any denomination and loved "talking to God". He had an immense love for his mother, Marva. He missed her dearly after she passed away in 2022.
Thomas was an amazing individual. When he traveled to Peru for his grandmother's funeral, he was found outside communicating with the small children who spoke Spanish. It was amazing to see him signing and visiting with these children as they circled around him.
He enjoyed painting ceramic objects and was fond of horses, dogs and any animals.
Surviving is his father, Leonidas Carhuas; his brothers, Antonio Carhuas and Wesley Blevins; his sister-in-law, Tammy Larkin; his aunts, Leah Martinez, Lois Martinez and Kelly Larson; his aunt, Yolanda Carhuas in Peru; his uncles, Roberto Carhuas and Pedro Loyola; his nephews, Izabian, Michael and Dakota; numerous cousins in Idaho and Peru. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Marva Larson Carhuas.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Anderson Family Funeral Home. A viewing will be held for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Arco, Idaho.
