Born on January 16, 1953, in Corona, California, Thomas lived a life marked by service, dedication, and a profound love for his family and the great outdoors.
Thomas proudly served his country as a specialist in munitions during the
Vietnam War, where he was a dedicated member of the United States Air Force. His commitment to his nation was a testament to his character and a source of immense pride throughout his life.
In 2022, Thomas married Lisa, with whom he shared cherished moments and deep companionship. His love for his family was boundless, and he leaves behind a legacy of generosity and kindness that touched everyone who knew him. Thomas was a devoted father to his children, Seth Coker, Mason & Ashley Branch, Candace & Brett Berryhill, all of whom he guided with wisdom and affection. His mother, Norma Shaw, and his sister, Sharon Hahon, nieces, nephews, and numerous family & friends also survive him, cherishing memories of his warmth and unwavering support.
Thomas was predeceased by his father, Thomas Coker Sr & wife Judy, and his first wife, Norma Coker. Despite these losses, he remained a pillar of strength for his family, sharing his passions and skills generously. He took immense pride in helping to build boats, a testament to his love for craftsmanship and the water. As a business owner, he demonstrated resilience and a keen sense of leadership.
Known for his heart "bigger than the outdoors," Thomas found joy in nature, a place where he felt most at peace. His grandchildren, Tanner, Bobbie, Reyd, Marleigh, Josie, and Dakoda, were the apples of his eye, and he reveled in sharing his knowledge and time with them, ensuring that his love of life and the outdoors would be passed on to future generations.
Thomas's life will be celebrated with a special gathering and tree dedication at his home in the fall, a fitting tribute to a man who found solace in the natural world.
