Thomas Paul Collier, 76, of Wooster, died Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at his residence.
Thomas was born January 17, 1947, in Elyria, Ohio to James and Lillian {Cooley} Collier.
He attended special education classes at Midview School in Grafton and worked for Murray Ridge in Elyria. He worked for Miller’s Orchard in Amherst for 20 years and moved to Wooster in 1997 to work for his sister and brother-in-law at Out of the Rough, LLP. He then worked for Nick Amster. He was part of the maintenance team for Wooster Community Hospital, retiring in 2014. Following his retirement, he worked for Wooster Industrial Center (WIC), retiring again in 2020. Tom enjoyed fishing in his pond, bowling, telling jokes – he had a wonderful sense of humor. Tom had a fear of flying until he decided to fly to Las Vegas to gamble. He then traveled even further to Maui where he enjoyed boogie boarding, Luaus, and riding in an electric submarine. Tom loved animals, especially his dog Fern. He attended First Presbyterian Church, where he was a greeter.
Thomas will be deeply missed by his siblings John Wayne Collier, Shannon Lee (LeRoy) Foster, Nancy Jeanne Collier (Allen Stacy) all of Wooster; and several nieces and nephews.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents. He will be missed greatly.
A memorial service will be held May 16 at First Presbyterian Church in Bruch Hall at 3:00 PM. Burial will be the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
