Thomas R. "Tom" Connell

Thomas "Tom" R. Connell, age 74, of Robinson Township, formerly of Ingram, PA, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025 surrounded by family. Born on July 4, 1951, Tom was the beloved son of the late Sybilla and Francis Connell.

Tom was the devoted husband of 43 years to Vernice Connell, and the proud father of Stephen Connell, Matthew Connell, and William (Robin) Connell. He is survived by his brother Edward (Mary) Connell; his cherished grandchildren, Brady and Caden Connell; and his sisters-in-law, Judy and Gloria Connell. He was preceded in death by his siblings Robert Connell, Barbara Restelli, and his twin brother, William Connell. Tom is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.

Tom was a man who "knew everyone," and he had an extraordinary ability to make friends wherever he went. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran and carried that pride with him throughout his life. He loved golf, bowling, and cheering on all the Pittsburgh sports teams. Above all else, Tom was his children's and grandchildren's biggest fan, never missing a game, match, or meet. His presence on the sidelines, always cheering, will be deeply missed.

A dedicated member of Union Church of Robinson, Tom served faithfully as a deacon before becoming a trustee. His commitment to his faith and community was an important part of his life.

Family and friends are welcome on Monday, December 15, 2025, from 2:00–4:00 PM and 6:00–8:00 PM at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 5405 Steubenville Pike, Robinson Township, PA 15136. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Union Church of Robinson, 6165 Steubenville Pike, Robinson Township, PA 15136. Interment will follow at 1:30 PM at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Rd., Bridgeville, PA 15017, where Tom will be laid to rest with full military honors.

Tom will be remembered for his warmth, humor, kindness, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
