Thomas F. Costa passed away surrounded by loved ones on December 23rd, 2025 ending his nearly 5 year courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born in Queens on February 8th, 1950. He was preceded in death by his cherished wife of almost 39 years, Patti, and their son, Curtis. He was an adoring father to Nicole (Adam) Braithwaite; proud Grandpa to Jackson and Maddie; loving brother to Cathy, dear brother-in-law of Donald (Kim) O’Leary and Teri (Kevin) Davies; treasured Uncle to Kelly (Dan) Kazmierski and Megan O’Leary.
Tom had an impressive career in finance, spending 35 plus years on Wall Street. Most of his 35 years were spent at GSCC and its predecessors, ultimately rising to the role of President. Afterwards he enjoyed a relaxing retirement in Florida. He quickly nicknamed Florida his “paradise” where his days were filled with golfing or boating and evenings entertaining or dining with family and friends.
Tom had many successes in his life that brought him great joy, but it was abundantly clear to all that knew him over these past few years that his grandchildren were by far his greatest source of pride. His legacy will live on in them.
