Thomas Crumpton, Sr., aged 93, of Hudson, FL passed away on October 6, 2024, in Tampa. Born on March 23, 1931, Thomas was a long-time resident of Merrillville, Indiana, where he served as a real estate broker for over 30 years, managing his own company before retiring to Florida.
A proud Korean War veteran, Tom served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1955. He was also a passionate fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide, showcasing his enduring love for his team.
Thomas was a graduate of Jemison High School in Jemison, AL. He was a former member of Westminster Presbyterian in Deland, FL, where he served on the church staff.
He is survived by his son, Thomas Crumpton, Jr. of Kennesaw, GA; daughters, Kelly (Russell) Greer of Tampa, Kimberly Tuggle of Joliet, IL, and Wendy (Russell) Gallery of River Forest, IL; sister, Joy Lowery of Bessemer, AL; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Monroe and Myrtle Faye (nee Dawson) Crumpton, and his sisters, Lois Avery, Lori Wieczorek, Faye Cromer, and Gloria Howard.
Thomas will be remembered for his deep love for his family and his service to his country. He will be interred with military honors at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
