Publish in a newspaper

Thomas Carl Daggett, 62, passed away on Sunday, August 24, at Hyder House in Dover, NH. Tom was born in Providence, RI, on August 31, 1962, to Marjorie and Linwood Daggett of Cranston, RI, and later of Kittery, ME. A 1981 graduate of Portsmouth High School, Tom's professional employment included working for UNH, Simplex, Uraseal, and Textile Tapes. He and co-inventor Joseph Bradley were granted three patents by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.

He is best known for his gigs as a professional musician, singing and playing guitar solo or in bands including the Jim Danger Band.

Often using the stage name Tom Brewer, a reference to his hobby of home brewing beer and other spirits, Tom most enjoyed performing and entertaining in the New Hampshire Lakes Region, the Portsmouth seacoast area, and southern Maine.

Despite being diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson's disease while in his 30s, Tom continued to entertain, even playing guitar and singing for his fellow residents at the Oceanside Center in Hampton, NH.

Tom was also an accomplished photographer, developing his own film before switching to digital, and earning awards for his pictures.

Tom is survived by his brother, Deacon Francis Daggett, and his wife Barbara of Harrison, Maine; sister Anne Marie Gerrish and her husband Bruce of Berwick, Maine; sister Camilla A. Daggett of Rochester, NH; niece Catherine Simonitis and her husband Dan of Durham, ME; and niece LeeAnne Gerrish of Berwick, ME. He was predeceased by his parents and nephew, John F. Daggett.

Visiting hours will be held at J.S. Pelkey Funeral Home in Kittery from 9:00 to 10:30 on Saturday, August 30, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am on August 30 at Saint Raphael Church in Kittery.

Flowers or memorial gifts to The Michael J. Fox Foundation are greatly appreciated.
