Thomas Daniell Obituary
Published by Legacy on Oct. 1, 2025.
Daniell, Thomas D. of Burlington, passed away suddenly at his home on September 3, 2025. Tom was the beloved husband of Dolores M. (Zuffanti) Daniell, his "little bride," with whom he shared 55 wonderful years of marriage. Their marriage was a shining example of loyalty, partnership, and joy. Tom and Dolores were inseparable, and his love and devotion for her showed in the way he cared for every detail-whether it was making her daily tea, doing the grocery shopping, or even the laundry. Together they built a life rich in laughter, devotion, and deep love, creating a family that was always at the center of his world.
He was the loving father of Charlene Daniell and the late Thomas D. Daniell Jr. and his wife Margie Daniell. Nothing brought Tom greater joy than being "Bampy" to his five cherished grandchildren-Matthew, Jessica, and Hallie Daniell of Dracut, and Mackenzie, Morgan, and granddog Winnie Coughlin of Burlington. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he never missed an opportunity to show them how deeply he loved them.
Tom is also survived by seven siblings and was predeceased by four siblings. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends, all of whom were touched by his kindness, loyalty, and sense of humor.
Tom worked at Polaroid for 29 years as a machine operator and electrician. While working full-time, he showed his incredible determination by attending Northeastern University at night for 10 years, where he earned his degree in accounting and his electrical license from Wentworth. His strong work ethic and perseverance were qualities he carried throughout his life and passed on to his children and grandchildren.
A proud U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam veteran, his service was a testament to the strength, courage, determination, and resilience that would carry him through every chapter of his life. A lifelong Boston Red Sox fan, Tom cheered faithfully through the ups and downs of every season with the same unwavering devotion he showed in every part of his life.
Above all, Tom loved nothing more than being with his family-sharing stories, creating memories, and simply enjoying time together. Whether it was a vacation, holiday, or a simple Sunday dinner, he loved every moment. He knew better than anyone that it's the small kindnesses and everyday moments that truly matter - the little things that make a person who they are. For Tom, it's his pocket tees, his "secret" stash of candy, anxiously awaiting the Market Basket circular for his frequent shopping trips, his homemade sauce, his famous grilled cheese, storybook lifesavers as a Christmas tradition, his storytelling, and the way he always listened, and gave his most thoughtful advice. His absence leaves a hole that can never be filled, but the love and laughter he shared will remain forever in our hearts.
At the request of the family, all arrangements are private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom's memory may be made to Disabled American Veterans P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250.
Semper Fi, Bampy. Oorah! Always Faithful. Always Loved
