Only met Tom a couple of times. He is married to my cousin Marie. I feel just awful about this tragedy. A wonderful family man and Marie is the best. My prayers for the family.

Always. He had such a great laugh! Tim and I had been sweethearts in high school. I was more of a rebel that he was, which was saying a lot. Or maybe I just got caught more! I loved Tom´s mom and we frequently had lunches there. She´d give me motherly advice which I could hear since she came across as more of an older friend. Tom had this great relationship with her. He would banter with her. And it was so light and playful that it always made me laugh. Tom and I were best friends along with Kenny in high school. We were the "mod- squad" of hippies. Tom used to swipe his father´s car, and the three of us sat on the front bench seat of the car. I was in the middle and sat beside two cool guys: Tom had blazing red hair down to his shoulders and Kenny jet black hair and I had dark brown hair that fell to the middle of my back. We´d ride around, laugh and smoke. At least they did. We had such a special bond that 50 years later we are still connected and I say that using the present tense. Tom´s dedication to maintaining a friendship with Kenny and me was such a gift.
