Thomas Davis Obituary
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1 - 1:45 p.m. at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home of Kristi.
Thomas served his country with honor with the US Army during Vietnam. He worked for Parker's BBQ for over forty years.
Thomas is survived by his daughter Kristi Davis and Tommy Faulkner of Wilson; granddaughter, Jordan Umphlett and husband, Taylor of Wilson; grandson, Thomas Ellis of Pocono Lake, Pennsylvania; great-grandchildren, Sydney Umphlett and Edith Umphlett; sisters, Sandra Hodge and husband, Allen of Garner and Joyce Bissette of Columbia, South Carolina and his sister-in-law, Joyce Lynn Davis of Rocky Mount.
He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Deans Davis; parents, Dred and Ruth Davis; sister, Linda Davis and his brother, Guy Davis.
In lieu of flowers, consider memorials to Veterans Residential Services of Wilson, 2500 Nash Street, Suite E, Wilson, North Carolina 27896.

Just saw the news on my e-mail the passing of Tommy. So sorry to hear the news. He was a great guy to work with. While in high school I work with him at Parkers BBQ, we had the best times of life. My condolences to his family and friends. I know he will be missed.

I am so sorry to find out of Tommy's passing. It has been quite sometime since I have seen him but I still remember when we were neighbors in the 50's and 60's. My condolences go out to the family.

"A Vietnam Veteran has passed away today." Thomas, you are now relieved from your post. A job well done fellow Vietnam Veteran. America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom. The final volley has sounded and taps is about to begin, ending a successful career as a nation´s defender. Farewell fellow veteran.
