Thomas Edward Dickerson Jr., 74, of Virginia, went to be with his Heavenly Father on December 27, 2025. He was born on May 30, 1951, and was preceded in death by his parents, Thelma Saunders Dickerson and Thomas Edward Dickerson.

Thomas is survived by his devoted wife, Lila Dickerson, with whom he shared a close and loving partnership, rarely spending a moment apart. He is also survived by his stepson, Brian Deacon (Amy); grandchildren, Connor and Zoe, who knew him as a loving and devoted "Poppie," a role that brought him immense joy and was one of his greatest blessings in his later years; sister, Donna Hoak; and brother, John Dickerson (Jean).

An avid sports fan, Thomas enjoyed NASCAR, baseball, college basketball, and college football. He loved boating, cruising, and traveling, especially to warm destinations. Above all else, he cherished time spent with his wife and family.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 3, from 12. to 1:00 p.m. at Rosalind Hills Baptist Church, with a funeral service to follow. Burial will take place at Mountain View Cemetery
