Thomas “Tom” Lee Dietz, 71, of Indianapolis, passed away on August 9, 2025. Born December 9, 1953, to Fred “Bud” and Evelyn (Huth) Dietz. Tom was a graduate of Emmerich Manual High School. In his early years, Tom worked for Bright Equipment and Mayflower Transit and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Tom was always up for a party and we will always remember his fantastic dance moves after a few beers.
Tom is survived by his brothers Fred “Buddy” (Kathy) Dietz and Charles (Tonia) Dietz; sisters Linda (Rick) Dietz, Mary (Mark) Ramsey, and Sue Mijares; ex-wife Dianna (Duncan) Dietz and her children, Kellie (David) Renner and Jeremy Duncan; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ronald Dietz, and stepson Jason Duncan.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Indiana Funeral Care, 2433 E. Main Street, Greenwood, Indiana. Visitation: 2–4 p.m., service: 4–5 p.m. Friends are encouraged to bring a favorite “Tom story” to share.
