Thomas Dupes Obituary
Thomas David (Bud) Dupes, age 83, of Vonore, passed away on Saturday morning, Dec. 9, 2023, at his home, surrounded by family.
He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
He retired from Blaine Construction.
He was preceded in death by: a daughter, Mary Sue Dupes; granddaughter, Kendra Herron; his parents, Thomas Henry Dupes and Gerlean Dupes; sisters, Wanda Lee Barnes, Mary Hester; and sister-in-law, Nita Dupes.
Survivors include: his wife of 43 years, Patricia Ann Dupes;
Children, Samantha (Stephen) Chapal, Amy Jones, Amelia Dupes, Dan Dupes (Kim), Peggy (Burrell) Herron, and Matilda Bohanan;
Sixteen grandchildren;
Ten great-grandchildren;
Two great-great-grandchildren;
Sisters, Patricia (D.C.) Barefield, Betty (Terry) Millsaps, Brenda Millsaps, Linda (Junior) Brock, Margie (Scott) Lane, and Zora (Lynn) Lee;
Brothers, Herbert (Ortha) Dupes, and Jimmy Dupes.
The family received friends on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home in Madisonville.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2023, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie-in-state from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the church prior to the funeral. Pallbearers will be Alan, Aiden, Kevin, Stephen, Terry and Trevor. Honorary pallbearers: are Kamden, Kyson, and Tanner.
