I was fortunate enough to be friends with Thomas, whom I called, "Ole Reb". I met Thomas at MUSC, my place of work. He was such a kind person and I had the pleasure of being the DJ for Mickey's wedding as well as for two of his nieces. I will surely miss my conversations with him. He was definitely one of a kind. My heartfelt condolences go out to the family and all those that loved Thomas.

Mickey and Meg. We are so sorry for your loss. Thomas and I are first cousins. Red Pendergrass was my father, who was brother of Lucille, his mother. I talked to Thomas in June, and we were planning a repeat visit to see him in August while we are on vacation at HHI. It was one year ago that we saw Thomas and spent most of a day with him. I learned things about him that I did not know. He told us that he had found the original town marker for Jamestown and that it has been marked and preserved by the state. I have a French Huguenot ancestor on my mother's side who is buried there, and I was hoping we could visit Jamestown with Thomas this month. I recently sent him some pictures of the Evans family at my dad's lake house near Manning...at the last family reunion we had. Thomas also asked for a picture of my dad because he thought so much of him. I was concerned because he never acknowledged that he received the pictures. I am so sorry we just found out of his passing or we would have been at the service. I tried to call him and the call went to voice mail, which was full. So I did a search on Google. Please accept our love and condolences. You had a fine father whom we loved very much.

We are so sorry to hear your dad has passed away. We have many fond memories of living next to you guys. But when we moved to Waynesville, your dad was the only person who ever came to visit us from the neighborhood. We noticed we hadn't heard from him for a while and wondered if he was okay. We'll miss him.

Mickey and Meg, I am so sorry for your loss. He spoke of you both often! He was very proud of his "girls".

This is how I will always remember Mr. Tom. He was a great man and neighbor! We truly loved him.

Mickey and Meg, I am truly sorry to hear of the passing of your father. Mr Thomas was such a good friend and neighbor to my parents Charlie and Helen Chaplin back when we all lived in Thornley Forrest. We had know for sometime that his health wasn´t the best. We are thinking of the two of you and your families during this difficult time. Your father will be missed but never forgotten.
