Uncle to many loved Nieces & Nephews. Cousins of many. And friend to all.
Thomas was born on the Southside of Chicago (St. Dorthy), and was a surprise Twin to Robert & Ruth, who already had 4 beautiful daughters.
Tom was a graduate of St. Dorthy grammar School, and then went onto Mendel High School Class of 1960, where they won the City Football Championship in 1957. He then went onto The College of St. Thomas in St. Paul Minnesota with his twin brother Bob Evans. Upon graduation he ran his Family-Owned Chicken business, until he started his career at Central Steele & Wire where he met the love of his life, whom he married and created a Family who loved and cherished him to the very end.
Tom volunteered throughout his life as a Football & Baseball coach, member of Queen of Martyrs Church, Holy Name Society, Brother Rice Dads Club, & Brother Rice Alumni Dads Club. He was inducted into the Brother Rice Dads Club Hall of Fame 2010, and the Brother Rice Hall of Fame 2024. He will be remembered as the Brother Rice Split the Pot King.
Tom was a True Southside Gentlemen, who's presence was just as large as his loyalty. He devoted his life to his family and friends. And was always thankful he was able to transition from Dad to Best Friend to his kids.
