Thomas Farwick Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 13, 2025.
Thomas William Farwick, 64, of Union, Kentucky, passed away surrounded by his family on November 11, 2025.

Tom was a selfless man who always put others first and was a bright light to everyone around him. He believed in hard work, purpose, and helping others grow, mentally, spiritually and personally.

After retiring from a long career with Baxter Healthcare, Tom began his most cherished job with UPS. Tom loved interacting with his coworkers and customers. He was always ready to lend a hand, offer guidance, and put others' needs before his own.

Tom also served as an NKY baseball umpire for over ten years, where he was passionate about mentoring young athletes. He was a Kids Club group leader at his church for more than a decade and also taught swim lessons, always finding joy in helping children learn and grow.

Tom was a proud member of the Beer Can Collectors of America. Tom parted with his "priceless" collection to take his beloved wife on a three-month trip to Florida– an experience he treasured. He was an avid UK basketball fan, who knew all the ins and outs of the players and coaches.

Above all, Tom was a faithful, Christ-following man whose life reflected the love, humility, and service of Jesus. He will be remembered for his love of Jesus and the church, his deep love for his family and his constant commitment to serving others.

Tom was preceded in death by his sister, Susanne Farwick, and his mother-in-law, Marjorie Winkelman. He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Gail Farwick; sons Thomas (Meagan) Farwick Jr., Craig Farwick, and Grant Farwick; parents William and Kathryn Farwick; siblings Jenny (Dave) Burger, Jill (Mike) Lonnemann, Amy (Jerry) Maas, Pete (Sherry) Farwick, Emily (Steve) Seger, Jon (Michelle) Farwick, and Maria (Matt) Warken; father-in-law Fred Winkelman; sisters- and brothers-in-law Karen (Tom) Plogsted, Bruce (Beckie) Winkelman, Linda (Bob) Niehaus, Connie (Larry) Johnson, and Shelley (Keith) Romard; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 7 Hills Church from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. Please, park in the lower lot at 7 Hills for the services. Tom will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom's memory to Elder High School. Online condolences can be left at www.LinnemannFuneralHomes.com
