May 20, 1960 - March 23, 2024
On March 23, 2024, Thomas Mark Finn peacefully passed away while surrounded by his family in Chesapeake, Virginia at the age of 63. Born to Joseph Finn Jr. and Kay Finn on May 20, 1960, in Albany, NY., he was the middle son of five and is survived by siblings Victoria A. Finn, Susan M. VanGalen, Daniel J. Finn. He is predeceased by his older brother Joseph M. Finn. Early in life he married and had two children with Cary M. Harkness in Colony, NY. He is survived by his two children Joseph W. Finn and Samantha and Todd Schaefer, as well as his grandchild Heathcliff Schaefer. He is also survived by his loving wife Marcia M. Finn and his stepchildren Jenna Zint and Jonathan Jenkins. For the last 18 years of his life he resided in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina.
Tom was a graduate of Albany Academy for Boys where he was the Captain of Company C, and was on championship football teams. Tom attended St. John Fisher College where he was a defensive/offensive tackle on their championship football team. His career started at Lange-Finn Construction and concluded at Zillofro Associates. Tom was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing. Tom was the G.O.A.T. father who attended all of his sons sporting events. He also attended all his daughters theater, band, and chorus events. Tom, Marcia, and his family are very grateful to have enjoyed traveling in and out of the country over the past several years.
His love for music extended to serenading his wife and children, bringing joy and harmony to their lives.
Known for his thoughtfulness and generosity, Thomas touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by all.
