Thomas "Tommy" Martin Fleet, 70, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday in Arlington Chapel. Entombment: Greenwood Mausoleum. Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Arlington Chapel. Thomas was born Sept. 5, 1945, in New Orleans, La., to Benjamin and Mary Frances Fleet. He was employed by Northrup Grumman for many years until his retirement in 2010. A loving, generous man, Tommy enjoyed fishing, reading and singing karaoke, as well as watching his kids and grandkids participate in all their activities. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors: Children, David Fleet, Mike Fleet (Barbara) and Andrea Mills (Charles); six grandchildren; one great-grandson; and sister, Maryanne Reeves (Carroll).

Mike & I met Tom at the Texan Kitchen. He loved karaoke and so did we. We were saving his usual seat in hopes that he would return but I guess the Lord needed another karaoke singer in Heaven. We and the rest of his "karaoke family" at Texan Kitchen will certainly miss him. He was a great guy. See you again someday Tom.

This is so hard for me to understand but I know that God only takes the very Best but I wasn't ready for him to go! Tom and I have known each other for the last 15 years. We always sit together at the same table on Friday and Saturday nights. Tom was liked by everyone.
I always look forward to the holidays when he would text me and wish me a happy holiday and say something kind. I still have those text and will cherish them always.
