Thomas M. Foster, aged 100, passed away on December 22, 2025 in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. He was born on Christmas Day in 1924 in Reading, Massachusetts. He was raised in North Reading, where his father was a carpenter and his mother the local librarian. He enlisted into the Army in 1943, and was a Technician Fourth Grade upon his discharge in 1946.
Tom was an electrical engineer, with his career spent at Honeywell's Test Instruments Division in Littleton, Colorado.
He was an avid outdoorsman, spending much of his free time camping and hiking in the mountains of Colorado. In retirement he was actively involved in the rehabilitation of the historic water wheel at Idaho Springs, Colorado.
He is survived by his three children, Dennis (Cara Lynn), Gayle Stabo (Bob), and Suzanne (Tom), his granddaughter Lesleigh Barcalow (Patrick), and his younger brother Frank (Marianne). He was preceded in death by his younger sister Caroline Smith (late husband Carroll).
